Zodiac Legion

Zodiac Legion is a turn-based tactical RPG featuring lethal combat, formation fighting, squad management and kingdom building. Lead specialist parties of knights on daring raids through mysterious ruins and extensive dungeons where enemy garrisons actively thwart your efforts and adapt to your actions. Expand your influence in a feuding realm beset by a forgotten menace, master the power of the stars, and defeat death itself in your quest as the Lord Ascendant.

Drawing deep from both medieval sources and tabletop gaming, in Zodiac Legion your knights prevail by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with their brothers. Different challenges will require you to arrange your champions in various formations, as some battles may favour a swift and multi-pronged approach, while in others you’ll need to tighten your ranks against an overwhelming enemy force. All adjacent units boost each other’s combat capabilities, while a secluded target is much easier to bring down. Combined with authentic armour mechanics, where plate mail provides near-perfect protection if not bypassed through precise blows or the sheer number of attackers, you will need to become a true field commander to guide your men to victory.

• Lead your knights in turn-based tactical battles in a merciless war against the Dragon Covenant.

• Engage in authentic combat based on medieval martial arts and troop formations. Your fellow knights are your cover – stand together to support each other and form an impenetrable wall in the face of the enemy advance.

• Don the right gear, as armour is more than just a modifier. Layers of plate, chain and gambeson work together to prevent attacks from drawing blood. Find gaps in protection with precise strikes or overwhelm armoured enemies to drag them to the ground where no defences may save them.

• Smash your way through procedurally generated and fully destructible dungeons. There is no single "correct" route to the objective, and often the best path is the one you make yourself.

• Explore ancient ruins and places of power, where enemies actively seek you out and scramble their forces to stop you. Local defences improve with time taken in a mission and may flood you with foes.

• Reshape the battlefield to your advantage. Move targets in and out of position with telekinesis, flank enemy parties through terrain destruction, teleport to critical locations, and block the way behind you with walls of ice.

• Progress along a strategic campaign with dynamic missions, events and setbacks ensuring that no two playthroughs are the same. Expand and strengthen your Citadel, research new abilities and improve the equipment of your knights.

• Forge alliances with neutral nations before they are subverted by your adversary. Disrupt the operations of enemy parties, follow their trail to their secret strongholds, and wipe their corrupting influence from the realm.

• Ascend your warriors into mighty Zodiac Champions. Empowered by the stars, they become the embodiments of the Zodiac Signs, and as the reckless Aries rushes into combat head-on, the two-faced Gemini warps around the field to backstab his foes. Yet even these great Champions may fall, and those who die in battle, die for good.

• Proceed through diverse environments with different gameplay characteristics. With ancient temples, gloomy dungeons, vast caverns, city streets, castles, forests and swamps, Zodiac Legion takes you to battlefields as complex as they are varied.

• Mix and match your warriors’ gear for endless customisation.

As the Grandmaster of the Zodiac Order, it will be your duty to restore this knightly brotherhood and rally its champions under the banners of the thirteen Zodiac signs. But beware, for your adversaries are many, and they will not hesitate to crush you. The return of magic to the world has awakened your foremost enemy – the Dragon Covenant, an alliance of undying sorcerers who wish for nothing but your destruction.

The four cabals of the Covenant endeavour to subjugate the entire realm to their wickedness. For now, they are still recovering from their long slumber, but given time, their Archons will reclaim all their legendary powers. With undead and mutant thralls, black magic and unholy craftsmanship, their influence appears unstoppable, and petty lords fall under the dragon banner one by one. Yet the Archons’ hatred of you is matched only by their fear. The Zodiac Legion banished them in days of yore, and they know it can do so again. But as history ebbs and flows with the currents of astral magic, will it repeat itself this time?
