Thornroad

The road won't stay still.

In Thornroad, the path to your core keeps changing. Every few waves it grows longer, and new spawn portals tear open. The defence that held at wave 5 won't hold at wave 20. You'll keep rebuilding, rerouting and adapting as the map turns against you.

Build a defence that's yours

• 17 towers, from the trusty Ballista and Tesla Coil to the Prism Laser, Gale Shrine and Alchemist. Each one levels up to 5, takes a specialisation and earns masteries.

• Cards every two waves: blueprints, tower upgrades and run-changing legendaries. Build a deck that fits your towers, or bend your towers to fit the deck.

• Abilities for the bad moments: Meteor Strike, Time Stop, War Drums, Earthshaker and Aegis.

• Harvest the land. Clear trees and rocks for wood and stone, then spend them on Masterwork towers, foundations and barricades.

Survive what's coming

• More than 20 enemy types, including armoured Ironclads, healing Medics, burrowing Burrowers and ghostly Wraiths.

• Six bosses, from the Juggernaut to the Lich. Each Standard run ends with the Thorn King.

• Eight biomes, from Meadow to Ashlands, each with its own terrain to build around.

Every run makes the next one stronger

• Earn shards to unlock towers, abilities and 11 permanent perks.

• Win on a Threat level to unlock the next one. Threat 5 is a real fight.

• Beat Threat 5 to face Nightmare: 60 waves, five bosses and the Thorn King.

Endless ways to play

• Standard: 30 waves and a final boss.

• Endless: see how far you get.

• Daily and weekly challenges: the same map and rules for everyone, with online leaderboards.

• Twists: nine optional modifiers, such as Glass Core, Boss Rush and Blood Moon, that make a run harder and earn you more shards.
