Bannertide

Bannertide is a single-player fantasy strategy game played in real time, with the clear routes and contested territory of a board game. Choose humans, necromancers, dwarves or mages and fight three rival factions for control of a procedurally generated island.

Every road leads to a decision

Capture dwellings to recruit soldiers, secure mines for gold, and hold the castles that guard the routes across the island. Choose which troops to send, where to reinforce, and when to push into stronger opposition. Lose your last castle and you lose.

Build an army, shape your territory

Recruit and upgrade 16 unit types, each with its own role. Combine combat bonuses, healing and resurrection, or put specialists to work in your buildings. Convert captured castles to transform their surrounding territory and recruitment while keeping the army you already have.

Turn the battle with magic

Capture mage towers and libraries to charge spells. Burn an enemy stronghold, bless your soldiers, call back the fallen, shield your buildings or strike with a meteor. Your chosen faction determines your signature spell.

Set your own pace

Choose from five difficulties. Use tactical pause to inspect the front and issue orders, then watch your plans unfold. Save your game and return to it later, or restart the same island for another approach.
