About the game
Find your way out of a repeating Victorian stairwell. Look for anything unusual, keep going if everything seems normal, and turn back if you spot an anomaly. A first-person anomaly-spotting game where one wrong choice sends you back to the start.
Original Steam description
Staircase 8 is a short (~1–2 hours) anomaly-spotting game that will put your observation skills to the test. Inspired by games like The Exit 8, The Cabin Factory, and other anomaly-based walking simulators.
Find your way out of an endlessly repeating Victorian stairwell.
How to play:
Start by going upstairs.
If you don't notice any anomalies, keep going up.
If you spot an anomaly, turn around and head back downstairs.
Make it past Staircase 8 to escape.
Note: Going downstairs will also increase the staircase number if you made the correct choice.
