Gramps & Whiskers

About the game
A grumpy old fisherman sits on your Windows taskbar and fishes while you work. His cat climbs your windows, naps on his lap and steals his catch. Dress them both up with hats and gear that grandpa fishes up along the way.
Original Steam description
Your desktop has a new neighbour
Gramps & Whiskers is a desktop companion. A grumpy old fisherman settles down on your Windows taskbar, casts his line and keeps you company while you work, browse or play. His ginger cat roams your desktop: it hops onto your windows, hangs from their edges, climbs their sides and keeps a close eye on grandpa's bucket. What happens on your desktop
- Grandpa fishes on the taskbar: bites, catches, the odd old boot and plenty of grumbling.
- The cat lives on your windows: it walks along their tops, climbs up their sides and rides along when you drag them around.
- Step away from the computer and grandpa dozes off. The cat may curl up on his lap.
- Leave the bucket unattended and the cat will steal a fish. Grandpa will notice.
- Grandpa comments on what you have open: videos, music, code, chats and more.
- Grandpa's catch: now and then he reels in a cosmetic item instead of a fish — hats, scarves, collars, glasses and fishing gear. Items come in five rarities, from Common to Legendary, and go straight to your Steam Inventory.
- The game is free, with nothing to buy.
- Pick the cat up by the scruff and drop it anywhere. Everywhere else your clicks go straight through, so they never get in your way.
- Lightweight, lives in the system tray, 19 languages.
Privacy
To comment on what you are doing, grandpa looks only at the name of the active program and its window title. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere, and you can switch it off in the tray menu.
