Scripts of Power

About the game
A turn-based programming puzzle: write the script, then watch your fantasy hero carry it out. Build programs from tiles or text, branch on what the hero senses, draft new spells and beat 200 deterministic rooms with four heroes.
Original Steam description
PROGRAM YOUR HERO
Every step, turn and spell your hero takes comes from a script you write. Snap picture tiles together or type the script as text: both edit the same program. Branch on what your hero senses (an enemy ahead, a spell ready, a trap underfoot) and gather repeated moves into named rites.WATCH THE PLAN PLAY OUT
Press play and the hero carries out your script line by line while the editor follows along. Pause, step one turn at a time or scrub back to see exactly where the plan went wrong, then fix it and run again.FOUR HEROES, 200 ROOMS
Rune-blade, Battle-wizard, Grove-caller and Engineer each take on the same 200 rooms across ten regions, from the barrows of Mossgate to the Sundered Place, with a boss guarding every tenth room. The Rune-blade cuts up close and charges its runes with every hit, the Battle-wizard juggles mana and cooldowns from afar, the Grove-caller fights behind bark and thorns with beasts at its side, and the Engineer builds turrets, bombs and mines. Each hero needs different scripts.DRAFT YOUR KIT
Clearing rooms earns draft picks: new spells, higher ranks and passive talents. Keep several named builds per hero and try a different draft without losing your first.DETERMINISTIC, NO LUCK
The same script always plays out the same way. There are no dice rolls: when a room beats you, the answer is in your program. Chase separate records for fewest turns, fewest instructions, fewest rows and most HP left, and compare them on online leaderboards that replay each submitted run to check it. The game plays offline too.
