About the game
A top-down survivors-like where your ship's neon trail is your only attack. Circle a swarm, close the loop, and everything inside bursts at once. Bigger loops hit harder but keep you exposed for longer. A run takes about ten minutes.
Originalbeschreibung auf Steam
LOOPLINE is a top-down survivors-like where your ship's neon trail is your only attack. Cross your own path and the loop snaps shut. A golden lasso cinches everything inside, and the enemies burst in a chain from the outside in.
Draw bigger. Blow up bigger.
- The more you trap, the more damage you deal, up to 4x. Big loops also keep you exposed for longer.
- Draw a figure eight to close two loops back to back. Use your ship's ability to finish the last stretch.
- Close loops one after another to build a chain and keep your score multiplier climbing.
Every enemy asks for a different loop
Cutters slice your trail. Bulwarks need two loops to break their shields. Twinlinks only fall when caught together. A Nucleus collapses only when you swallow it with its escorts. Ripples march in columns, Snares coil around you, and Jellies have to be caught bell and all as they breathe out. Minnows ride the current in schools, Beatlings hop on the beat, and Sparkrunners stall the moment they touch a live rail.
Nine skies, eighteen bosses
Every stage changes how you draw. Learn the basics on the Neon Grid, then let gravity wells pull the swarm together in the Orbit garden. Currents line enemies up and sweep them into eddies. On the Pulsar, loops closed on the downbeat hit harder. In Starfall you catch falling golden stars in your loop, and in Circuit you light up nodes to close the circuit. Behind the Aurora curtains, trap five or more glowing enemies at once to make the aurora bloom. In Stormglass, charge the capacitors to set off chain lightning. And in the last stage, Crystal Choir, beams of light cut through your trail.
A Hex Warden blocks the way on every stage, and the master of that sky holds the end: Ouroboros, the serpent you have to lasso coil and all. The black hole Event Horizon. Nautilus, riding the current. Harmonia and her planetary bells. Astraea, goddess of the stars. Tesseract, a four-dimensional hypercube. Borealis, the aurora ray. Leyden, lightning in a jar. And Kaleidoscope, which only falls when you catch the real one among its reflections. Close the loop on the ninth sky to see the ending.

Your play is the music
Over a 120 BPM synthwave score, every loop you close strikes the current chord and every kill rises as an arpeggio. Each stage has its own music.
