The pass is yours until dawn

Every night, the little garage at the foot of the pass takes orders: tofu for the temple, sake for the konbini, a parcel for the lonely house at the top of the road. Load the car, turn the radio up and head into the hills. Sodium lamps, wet asphalt, vending machines glowing in the dark, and far below, the lights of a city you will never reach.

Drifting that just feels right

• Arcade: hold Drift, set the angle and sail through the corner. Let go to fire a mini-turbo.
  
• Simulation: tyre-based physics. Kick it in with the handbrake, a feint or a clutch kick, hold the slide on the throttle, catch it with counter-steer.
  
• Style points, combo multiplier, three mini-turbo levels. Kiss the guardrail and your tip takes the hit.

Better with friends: online co-op for 2 to 4

• Tsuiso: tandem drift battles. One leads, the others chase as close as they dare, then you swap.
  
• Shared runs: take orders together, each with your own wallet, and earn a big bonus when the whole crew delivers.
  
• Name tags above the cars, the host's radio for everyone, and your custom stickers and music shared with the crew.

A living night mountain

• Over 70 km of mountain roads: hairpin ladders, ridge roads, a corniche above the cliffs, a dam with its reservoir, a high col.
  
• Japanese hamlets, a temple, roadside shrines, a petrol station, a ramen stand, a konbini parking lot to watch the city from.
  
• Weather that changes all night long: starry skies, drizzle, downpours, thick mountain fog and, on rare nights, snow that keeps your tyre tracks.

Your garage, your car

• Five cars, from a light 80s coupé to a mid-engine monster, each with its own handling.
  
• Body kits, wings, paint, two- and three-colour patterns, rims, lights, underglow neons, stickers and performance parts.
  
• A capsule machine in the garage: chameleon, mirror-gold and holographic paints, rainbow neons and exclusive stickers. Every item can also be crafted from duplicates.
  
• Play your own music on the car radio and turn your own pictures into stickers.
  
• Upgrade the garage itself and watch it grow, night after night.
