Original Steam description
They Bring the Cuteness. You Bring the Strategy.
The forest guardians are ready, but where they stand, who stays, and when they fuse are all up to you.
In Beast & Bloom, you’ll gradually build a team of adorable guardians and turn limited board space into your own defensive stronghold. Make enemies take a longer route, place area attacks where they can hit more targets, and combine slowing effects with damage over time. One small adjustment could be the key to surviving the next wave.
Random Recruitment, New Choices Every Run
Each round, choose three locations, then select one of the three guardian candidates that appear. The other two locations become rocks, shaping your defenses and the routes enemies take.
Will you choose the firepower you need right now, or keep a guardian for a future fusion? Build around familiar companions, or try a new combination based on the guardians you recruit? Every choice helps shape the way you play.
Fuse Three Guardians into a Powerful New Companion
Gather the three guardians required by a recipe and fuse them into an advanced companion with a distinctive look and unique abilities.
Fusion changes the balance of your firepower. The locations of the other materials used in the fusion also become rocks, affecting your routes and layout. Consider where your materials are placed and what your defenses need, then fuse at the right moment and let your new companion take up the task of protecting the forest.

Four Map Types, Four Ways to Defend
From square grids to hex grids, and from ground defenses to airborne threats, choose the battlefield you enjoy:
Square Maps: Build your defenses on a familiar square grid and plan the routes enemies will take.
Square Air Raid Maps: Ground and flying enemies bring pressure from different directions. Balance your route planning with anti-air firepower.
Hex Maps: Adapt to a different board layout and rethink guardian placement, attack range, and enemy routes.
Hex Air Raid Maps: Face ground and airborne threats on a hex grid and build a defense ready for both.
Each map type has 30 levels, starting from its own first level. Progress is tracked separately for each scene: clear wave 25 to unlock the next level in that scene.

Build Your Defense and Make the Route Part of Your Strategy
Study the entrances, exits, and terrain. Place guardians and rocks to plan the route ground enemies must follow.
A longer route creates more opportunities to attack, but guardian placement matters too. Balance attack coverage, concentrated firepower, and the path ahead as you find a layout that works for each map.
On air raid maps, flying enemies also approach along airborne routes. Ground obstacles won’t stop them, so remember to prepare enough firepower for the skies.

Combine Abilities to Counter Different Enemies
Slow enemies to give your guardians more time to attack, wear them down with poison, break their armor to help your team overcome tough defenses, and clear crowded groups with area damage.
Try different combinations of guardians against fast-moving enemies, heavily armored targets, dense swarms, and airborne threats. As the waves advance, stronger enemy forces and elite formations will keep putting your defenses to the test.
Find the Right Place for Every Guardian
Do you know why the Crystal Cave Beast King is placed in the upper-left corner? In the image, it’s using its ability: charging and firing a cross-shaped heavy cannon that ignores its normal attack range, deals 4.5 times damage, and briefly immobilizes enemies.

Use Forest Items to Create New Possibilities
An obstacle blocking the way could become your next companion. A guardian that could only attack ground enemies could become a key part of your anti-air defense. Use items at the right moment to create a turning point in battle.

Awakening Talisman: Turn a fixed obstacle into a random basic guardian. Change the terrain and perhaps find the companion you need for a fusion.
Skyward Feather: Give an advanced guardian that normally attacks only ground enemies the ability to attack airborne enemies for the rest of the run.
Swap Talisman: Exchange a guardian’s position with another guardian or a rock. You can even adjust your deployment during battle to move crucial firepower where it’s needed.
Frostwind Hourglass: Freeze all enemies currently on the field and increase every guardian’s attack speed by 30% for 12 seconds, giving your defense a chance to focus its fire.
Clear-Field Talisman: Remove all enemies currently on the field, including flying enemies and elites. More waves will follow, so use the opportunity to adjust your defenses!
Unlock Levels and Challenge Higher Waves
Choose your favorite scene, start from the first level, and unlock more maps as you progress. Each scene has its own independent level progression, so you can focus on one board type or switch between square, hex, ground, and air raid challenges.
After clearing wave 25, you can keep defending and push for star goals at waves 40 and 50. Try new fusion combinations, rearrange your key positions, and see how far your team of adorable guardians can go.
The next wave is coming. Recruit your companions, complete your fusions, and make this forest your home turf!
