Build a home beside the bridge

Xiqiao Chronicles is a single-player village management game set in rural Song-era China. Arrive with knowledge from the modern world and help refugees and named companions establish a home in a softly painted isometric landscape.

Plan the village and put people to work

Place and rotate homes, fields, workshops and roads, then watch construction progress. Assign villagers to production buildings, organize resources, research new knowledge and trade. Manage jobs, housing and health, with a clinic that receives and treats the injured.

Prepare your troops for six linked battles

Recruit villagers as soldiers and organize a roster of up to 24. Issue advance, hold and rally orders on separate battlefields. Each of the two campaign routes contains three battles, with time to return home for supplies and treatment between engagements. Complete all six victories and settle their results to unlock the ending video, then continue building your village. A separate battle rehearsal uses an isolated save.

Set your own pace

Enjoy a day-and-night cycle, village music and adjustable 1x or 2x speed. The game supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English and Japanese. Progress is stored locally; cross-platform save synchronization is not currently provided.
