Lore:
Set in Western Europe near the end of the 8th century A D, a cabal of maniacal lords who are practiced in the "dark arts" and sorcery initiate a conspiracy to subvert the emperor's plans of bringing education to the masses (whom they control). Through their powers, the lords begin an apocalyptic process of forcing their subjects —and the nature surrounding them— into an alternative reality. But one man moves boldly in an attempt to resist this tyranny...
This, the prequel to "Annum Crossroads," chronicles the events leading up to the lords' breathtaking capture of their world as seen through the eyes of the lone protagonist.
