《憶外》 is a short visual novel blending school romance with a mystery surrounding memory. Through reading, making choices, and keeping records, you will grow closer to her—and reconsider your own place in this story.

Mark the Moments That Matter

Use MARK during certain conversations to record lines that intrigue you or feel important. As the story unfolds, some of these records can help you compare the present with the past, or give you an opportunity to bring up a topic yourself.

Keeping records is not just about finding answers. It is also about deciding which of her words you want to keep remembering.

See Familiar Days in a New Light

Similar scenes do not always carry the same meaning. Pay attention to changes in dialogue and reactions, and gradually piece together what has remained unspoken between you.

Discover Different Endings

The story features multiple endings and their accompanying epilogues. Your choices will lead the relationship in different directions. The question is not only whether you fall in love, but how you choose to face one another.

Read at Your Own Pace

Advance the story using a mouse and keyboard. Save and load your progress, revisit dialogue in the backlog, and use auto-advance and skip functions to read at your own pace.

About the Steam Version

The Steam version of 《憶外》 is based on the previously released free web version 1.0. It retains the same core story while revising portions of the narrative and ending presentation, refining memory-record interactions, and improving the interface and reading controls for a Windows desktop release.

This is not a sequel, and some content is shared with the free version. If you have played version 1.0, please consider this a revised edition of the original—not an entirely new story.
