About the game

A wordless hidden-object puzzle game set inside living medieval paintings. Find what the villagers need, carry it across the scene and set their troubles right, and each one you mend brings the picture into full colour. No timers, no way to fail, and the Fool to help or sometimes get in your way.

Description d’origine sur Steam

Step inside

Every painting is awake. Skaters glide over the ice, a cook stirs her pot, children chase a hoop down the street. Look closely and you will spot the ones who need help, and something close by that could set things right.

No words needed

Nobody explains anything, and nothing is written down. You notice a problem, look around for something that could help, and try it. Some fixes take a few steps across the whole painting. There is no rush and no way to fail, and when you are lost, the Fool is there to point you the right way.

From scene to scene

Walk out of one painting and into the next: a crowded square, a barn full of wedding guests, a hill above the snow. Each one is a little world of its own, and every corner has something to discover.

A nod to the old masters

Follyvale takes its cue from the village scenes of the 1500s, painted by Pieter Bruegel the Elder and the Flemish painters around him. They were among the first to put ordinary people at the centre of a picture: farmers at harvest, children at play, villagers at a wedding or out in the snow. Their crowded scenes are full of small stories and jokes, and centuries later they still feel alive.
