VoxelMine is a survival game. You start with a copper axe, a pickaxe and a sword, and the rest is up to you.
We wanted mining and smithing to really matter. You smelt ore in a furnace, hold it with tongs and hammer it out on the anvil yourself. Every new metal needs a better anvil and hammer first. You start with copper and work your way up to lonsdaleite.
There's magic too. You build wands, staffs, grimoires and gauntlets piece by piece, picking the gem for the tip and what goes in the core. There are ten fire spells for now, all learned from scrolls.
The world has more than ten biomes: cherry groves, volcanoes, badlands, mushroom islands, swamps, snowy mountains. The weather changes, it rains, and you'll get cold if you're not dressed for it. You hunt, cook, and brew potions in a cauldron.
Out exploring you'll find old tombs and ruins. There's a frost golem asleep inside a mountain, a minotaur in a desert pyramid, and a dragon flying around somewhere.
Don't forget to look up at night.
