About the game

Stranded after a shipwreck, gather resources, build a base and descend into dark, procedural caves. Craft weapons, master furnace heat and brew potions, then repair your ship and escape. A top-down pixel adventure where every trip underground brings you closer to home.

Original Steam description

Your ship has crashed on Taurun. The way home starts with a wooden tool and leads deep beneath the surface. In COREHOLD, explore a pixel world from above, gather wood and ore, and turn a small camp into a working base. Take light and weapons into the caves, bring back what you need, and restore your ship one part at a time. Every descent supplies the next step toward takeoff.

Key Features:

  • Dig deeper: Explore procedurally generated caves and push toward floor 60. Find new resources, face different enemies and challenge two campaign bosses as you venture deeper.

  • Carry your light: Place torches to reveal dark passages and choose your route through the underground. On the surface, day gives way to night and new threats.

  • Build a working base: Set up a workbench, anvils, a furnace, a crusher and an alchemy table. Use gathered materials to craft better tools and weapons, then repair worn equipment.

  • Work the furnace: Load fuel, watch the heat and pump the bellows to reach higher temperatures. Smelt metals and make glass; cook meat at the fire pit for your next expedition.

  • Fight and brew: Meet slimes, spiders, floating eyes, scorpions and bosses. Swing swords, fire bows and dodge with a dash. Brew potions for healing, strength, protection, better mining yields and night vision.

  • Build your way home: Repair the frame, systems and engine of your wrecked ship with materials from the depths. Each upgrade to your camp serves a clear goal: launch again and leave Taurun behind.
