About the game
Pickleball Pro is a 3D doubles pickleball game with the real rules: the kitchen, the two-bounce rule and 0-0-2 scoring. Dink, drop and drive through a 16-team Pro Tour, or take on a friend in online multiplayer. Every shot is here, from the third-shot drop to the Erne.
Original Steam description
Pickleball Pro is a 3D doubles pickleball game built on the real rules of the sport. You serve underhand, let the return bounce, stay out of the kitchen when you volley, and start every game at 0-0-2. You control one player. A computer partner covers the other half of the court, and control switches to whichever teammate the ball is heading for.
Rallies play out the way they do at your local courts. Return deep, drop the third shot into the kitchen, then dink it out at the net until somebody gets a ball high enough to attack. Rush it and you'll pop the ball up and get punished for it.
Every Shot in Pickleball
One button plays the right shot for where you're standing, and the shot's name shows on screen as you hit it.
Drive:deep returns, third-shot drives, speed-ups, backhand flicks, punch volleys, roll volleys and overhead smashes
Soft: third-shot drops, dinks, cross-court dinks, resets, blocks and drop volleys
Lob:from the baseline, or a topspin lob over a team crowding the net
Slice: backspin on a drive, dink, drop or serve
Specials:the Erne around the kitchen corner, and the ATP around the net post (yes, both are in)
Timing beats button-mashing. Press as the ring closes and you hit a PERFECT shot. Swing on the run and your accuracy drops.
The Pro Tour
Sixteen teams over five match days. Two days of pool play lead into the quarter-finals, semi-finals played to 15, and the medal matches, with a best-of-three final on the Championship Court.
Every computer team plays its own way. Bangers drive everything. Dink masters will wait you out. Some pairs have fast hands at the net, some lob the moment you crowd the kitchen, and the all-court teams don't give you much to work with. Read the scouting report before you play them. Every team finishes with a placing, ranking points and prize money, and your run is saved between sessions.
Online Multiplayer
Play pickleball online one-on-one, with each of you leading a doubles team with a computer partner. Use matchmaking to find an opponent, share a four-letter match code, or invite friends straight from your Steam friends list.
Quick Match and Coached Match
In Quick Match you pick the venue, the opponents and their level (Rookie, Pro or Champion), then play a game to 11, a game to 15 or a best of three.
New to pickleball? The Coached Match teaches the serve, return, drop, dink, volley and lob as each one comes up in a real game. You can skip the lesson whenever you've seen enough.
Six Pickleball Courts
Pro Tour Championship Court: a floodlit stadium with grandstands on all four sides
Sunset Park Courts:public courts behind the fence at golden hour
The Kitchen Club: an indoor club with cushioned courts and LED lights
Palm Coast Open: a sunny tour stop with palms and packed bleachers
Pickleball Arena: neighbourhood courts under the trees, lights on the fence
Desert Night Finals: a resort court under the stars and the mountains
