KINGSHATTER is a chess roguelike about building a ridiculous army and finding out just how much trouble it can cause. Fight across small boards, collect powerful upgrades, and take on opponents with a few unpleasant tricks of their own.
Build something unreasonable
Recruit new pieces, give your favorites strange powers, and change the squares beneath their feet. Find upgrades that work together, then keep pushing until that your pawns is all you need!
How to Cheat officially
100+ Doctrins to bend the rules
30+ Sigils to... ahhem... upgrade your individual pieces
15+ Inlays to spike the board
20+ tactics that add a bit slight of hand to actively change the game
Make the sacrifice
Sometimes the winning move gets your favorite piece killed. Go for it. Captured pieces return after a victory, so a glorious sacrifice can stay glorious.
Just keep an eye on the board. When the Closing Bell rings, squares start disappearing.
The House has its favorites
Bosses bring their own rules to the table. Learn their tricks, find an opening, and give them a reason to regret inviting you.
