About the game

VELTARUM is a single-player retro FPS built around fast movement and brutal combat. Wall-run through a dark world of towers and chains, fight with guns and a sword, slow time, and face towering bosses. Spend crystals on upgrades between lives and climb again.

Original Steam description

Keep moving. Keep climbing.

Fight your way through a dark world of towering stone structures, suspended paths, and enormous chains. VELTARUM combines pixelated retro visuals with first-person combat, vertical movement, and upgrades between lives.

Turn the walls into a way forward

Run along walls, sprint, and slide to cross gaps and keep moving through enemy fire. Find your next foothold while keeping your aim on the enemies ahead.

Fight at range. Close the gap.

Shoot enemies from a distance or get close with your sword. Combine gunfire with movement, then use the sword dash to close the gap and keep the fight going.

Slow time. Take your shot.

Use your watch to slow time and create an opening in the middle of a fight. Line up your shots, react to incoming attacks, and make the extra time count.

Fall. Upgrade. Try again.

Spend crystals on upgrades when you respawn, before returning to the fight. Increase your maximum health, extend your watch duration, improve your sword dash distance, or raise your bullet damage. Each upgrade has five levels.

Face the bosses

Take on a flying bat and a giant knight. Keep firing, read their attacks, and stay ready to move when the knight sends a wall hurtling toward you.
