Shimagurashi: Island Life
Em breve
About the game
Descrição original no Steam
Shimagurashi: Island Life is a slow-life game about moving to a small island whose people have slowly moved away, living at your own pace, and bringing the lights back to the island one by one.
Drive the coast road, go fishing, build a home, and shop at the local store. When something catches your eye, take a little detour. Enjoy everyday life on the island.
Things to do on the island
Drive
Cruise the coast road in a kei truck, coast downhill on a bicycle, or cross the bay by boat. If a road looks interesting, go see where it leads.
Fish
Drop a line from the breakwater or the rocks. Eat your catch or sell it. Waiting for a bite while you watch the sea is part of the fun.
Build
Carry boards and walls by hand and put them together to build a house. When the sun goes down, the lights come on in the home you made yourself.
Shop and sell
Sell the fish you caught, and pick tools and everyday goods off the shelves at the Shiokaze Store. Anything you order arrives on the ferry.
Grow
Till a field and plant rice in the paddies. As your crops grow and the seasons turn, the island changes color.
Play
Line up empty cans and knock them down with a stone. Skip stones across the sea. Stack things up, or float them on the water. Play with whatever is around, just like when you were a kid.
An island that never rushes you
The islanders are living their own days, too. You might see them dropping by the store or pass them on the road. As time goes by, the island's scenery and where its people spend their time change as well.
Spend the whole day fishing, or just drive along the coast. Rainy days have their own things to do.
Watch the sunset and head home to a house with its lights on. How you spend today is up to you.
The island I remember, inside a game
I grew up in the Goto Islands in Nagasaki, Japan.
Driving the island roads, gazing at the sea, dropping by the shops I knew. I wanted to make a game where you could spend that kind of island time.
This island is layered with the scenery and the everyday life I remember. What I always wanted to make was a game where you could spend that kind of time.
