When the house falls asleep, the toys go to war!

Bedtime Battalion is a wobbly physics battle game played out in a child's bedroom at night. The toy soldiers climb out of their chest and line up on the rug, the patchwork quilt, the open storybook and the moonlit windowsill. Every soldier staggers, topples and tumbles for real, so no two battles ever play out the same.

Six ages in one toy chest

• The Stone Age: clubs, slings, wolves, cave bears and the mighty mammoth.
  
• Antiquity: hoplites, legionaries, chariots, scorpions and war elephants.
  
• The Middle Ages: knights, crossbows, angry cooks and a tyrant king.
  
• The Age of Gunpowder: muskets, pikes, cuirassiers and field guns.
  
• The World Wars: trenches, gas, mortars and the first tanks.
  
• Today: riot shields, rockets, drones and battle tanks.

More than a hundred kinds of toy soldiers, each with its own tricks: beasts that trample, riders that charge, machines that crush, and a boss at the end of every age.

The house joins the fight

Every battle is fought in a toy land: meadows, deserts, snowfields, autumn woods, marshes and a toy city, with rivers and bridges, chasms, railways with passing trains, a gas station, lava flows, geysers, a highway, a windmill, a harbour crane, a beach where the tide comes in, a temple full of traps and a funfair. Then the house wakes up: the vacuum cleaner roars across the field, a giant ball bounces in, marbles roll through the ranks, a paper plane swoops down, and the lights go out.

Ways to play

• A storybook campaign: 180 stages across six ages on a branching map, with elite war bands, bosses, special battle rules, chance meetings on the road and a captain who levels up and learns new skills. Lost a battle? Try again as often as you like.
  
• Sandbox: set up any battle you can imagine, in any land, any age against any age. Cavemen against tanks!
  
• Workshop: build your own toy soldiers from weapons, shields, helmets and armour, then send them into battle.
  
• Challenges: 50 hand-made battles to win with as little gold as you can.
  
• Siege: hold out against endless waves, with a boss every fifth wave.

A bedroom that comes alive

Even the title screen is a battlefield: while the child sleeps, rounds of toy soldiers fight on the rug, across the quilt, on the pages of the history book and on the windowsill under the moon. Open the big toy chest to choose how to play. Toys don't bleed: they chip paint and splinter.

Music from the toy box

A music-box lullaby turns into a toy band's march when the toys wake up, and every age plays its own instruments.
