JAILPOT

Inmate 4417. C-Block, Cell 14. Forty years. Nobody here has ever been released.

In here money is cigarettes, and every table has a boss. Mop the floors for your first few smokes, then sit down and gamble. Nine tables stand between your cell and the fence. Beat them all and you walk out.

NINE TABLES, NINE BOSSES

• Black Cat: Ticket Sid's scratch cards. Scratch a black cat and the pot burns.

• The Well: Limping Rico's six dice. Score, push your luck, take it.

• The Nail Board: Ray the Chippy's pine board. Drop the cap, nudge it while his thumb holds it.

• The Drum: Silent Norm's laundry slots. Three of a kind pays; watch the heat.

• The Envelopes: twelve sealed letters on Postman Pete's table. Take his offer or pass.

• Rat Bridge: Lefty's rats across a flooded drain. Hop, long-jump, cash out in time.

• The Telly Match: Stoker Gus's book on a match that plays live on his TV. Back the result, the goals or half time / full time.

• The Ladle: twenty-one with Cook Bert.

• The Last Hand: higher or lower with the Warden himself.

PAY THE BOSS BY ROLL CALL

Every boss wants his cut every day, and it grows every day. Pay it before the roll call. Fall short and it's solitary: the attempt is over and five more years go on your sentence. Every table you finish buys a piece of the escape plan.

LIFE ON THE BLOCK

Your family outside needs the rent: send cigarettes home from the phone in your cell. Mack, your cellmate, inks tattoos that bend the odds and plays barbut at night. Bet on corridor fights, play three cups with Cal (he cheats), throw spoon darts with Felix, borrow from Sully at 30% a night. Freeze when the guard's lamp swings your way, and watch your pocket: big wins draw a night search.

GAMBLE YOUR WAY OUT

• Nine gambling games, each with its own boss, rules, upgrades and daily twists

• Luck, omens and winning streaks, and a fortune card after every paid day

• The respect you earn stays: spend it on permanent upgrades

• Every escape opens a harsher sentence (they always bring you back)

• 40 achievements

• 13 languages

No real money. No microtransactions. Just cigarettes.
