About the game

Play music with your shots in Reach The Beat 2, a rhythm shooter shaped by player feedback. Use a mouse or gamepad on a monitor, tracked controllers in PC VR, or a gamepad with 3D glasses. Follow the beat across six difficulty levels.

Original Steam description

Play the music. One shot at a time.

Mouse or gamepad on your monitor, tracked controllers in PC VR, or a gamepad with 3D glasses. No headset required for monitor play.

Bass hits, drum patterns and musical accents become targets. Listen for the phrase, line up your blasters and land each shot in rhythm.

Shaped by feedback on the original game, Reach The Beat 2 puts the connection between your shots and the music at the heart of the sequel.

Two ways to connect with the music

Rhythm — The full track plays as you shoot along. Follow its phrases, build your multiplier with well-timed hits and settle into the groove.

Resonance — Play parts of the music yourself across the game's track library. Well-timed hits restore short musical accents. Miss a target and its accent is left out, while the rest of the track keeps playing.

Find your flow

Choose from six difficulties, from Beginner to Master. Start with the main pulse, then take on richer patterns and more musical detail.

Free hands lets you use either blaster. On Dubstep in Rhythm mode, Drum parts gives your left and right hands different musical roles.

From neon rooftops to orbit

Play above a neon city or inside an orbital pavilion overlooking Earth. Lights, lasers and color changes respond to musical accents as you follow the track.

Make every run yours

Review your performance along the track timeline, compare your latest attempt with your best run, and try again to master the phrases you missed. Progress is saved separately for each track, difficulty, music mode and hand setup, with separate monitor and VR records.

Play in 3D glasses

Play in stereoscopic 3D with VITURE Luma Ultra and a gamepad, with a compact HUD designed for glasses. Connect to a PC and enable Full SBS (3840 × 1080). No head tracking.
