Gambit Grid

Draft an army. Then the board plays itself.

Gambit Grid is a roguelite autobattler on a 6×6 chessboard. Every piece strikes with its real chess pattern: knights leap, bishops rake the diagonals, rooks pierce whole lanes and the queen rays out in all eight directions. You build the army, place it, and give the order. After that, nothing you do can change the battle. Your plan is all you get.

One life

There is no health bar to hide behind. Lose a single battle, boss or not, and the run is over. Every purchase, every placement and every augment carries the whole run.

Merge, synergize, crown

• Merge three identical pieces into a 2★, three of those into a 3★.

• Crown a 3★ piece to make it [b]Legendary[/b], with a signature ability: the Pawn's Iron Will, the Knight's Rampage, the Queen's Dominion and more.

• Synergies: five roles (Vanguard, Outriders, Inquisitors, Siegecraft, Royalty) and three materials (Obsidian, Marble, Gold-Gilded) stack into shields, reflects, executions and stuns.

• Gambit Stones rewrite how a piece strikes: forks that stun, spires that pierce, batters that shove.

Every run is different

• Three acts of eight floors, each a branching map of battles, elites, merchants and mysteries, ending in a signature boss.

• Relics in four rarities, from Vampiric Fang to the Phoenix Feather that forgives one lost battle. Boss relics come with a price.

• Augments after floors 3 and 6 of every act bend the rules: Pawn Promotion, Last Stand, Scorched Earth, trait emblems.

• Encounter affixes change the battlefield: Iron Phalanx, Ambush, Bloodlust, Cursed Tiles.

• Ten Ascension levels for players who have won.

Between runs

Spend Ivory Dust in the Sanctum. Add Gambit Stones to the drop table, learn new openings, and raise permanent perks. The Compendium records every relic, augment, item and Legendary you've found, and shows what's left to discover.
