You bought a cleaning business. It came with a grumpy old man named Gary, a radio with exactly one record, and the company tool: your own fingernail.
Hold and drag. Years of gunk come off in flakes, and every stroke wears your nail down a little. When the edge is gone, the shift is over.
Gary has opinions about technique. Scratch, don't slide. Stay on one spot until it shines.
Every flake you scrape off flies into a jar, and every kind of gunk is its own currency.
A ceiling fan, an attic window, a vinyl record, a grand piano... and an owner for each one, with something to say about how you're doing.
Every place hides three finds under the dust, uncovered bit by bit as you scrape. Owners tip for them, and the third one gets you a referral to the next client.
