The Car Dealer is a trading sim about building a used-car business from scratch. Buy, haggle, repair, sell at a profit — and climb from a Street Garage to a Premium Showroom.

Look before you buy

Every car has a past: accident records, replaced parts, repainted panels, a tired engine. Sellers won't tell you everything — some will flat-out lie. Send the car for inspection, but remember: an inspection can be wrong; the car itself never changes. A cheap inspection misreads, and the damage you missed comes back after the sale as a complaint and a compensation claim.

You can bend the truth too

You declare the car's condition to the buyer. You can make it look better than it is — never worse. The bill comes in two ways: a buyer who knows cars catches you on the spot, or a complaint lands on your desk days after the sale.

Every customer haggles differently

Customers walk in with their own stories — to buy, to sell or to trade in. Some are in a hurry, some are stubborn, some walk out over one wrong number. Push their patience too far and they're gone.

Four dealerships, one way up

Street Garage → Neighbourhood Dealership → City Dealership → Premium Showroom. Every tier means pricier cars, more customers and higher rent. There's no moving back down — and paying the rent is on you.

From hatchbacks to SUVs, from vans to premium sedans: 145 models in 229 fuel and transmission variants. Petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric; manual and automatic. Every model has its own price class and its own buyers.

Marketer, Mechanic, Inspector, Field Researcher, Accountant — each in four ranks. The right team grows your customer flow and your profit, and your payroll with it. Train your own skill tree as well.

Read the market

Every morning the newspaper reports on the market: electric demand surges, diesel crashes, a segment falls out of favour. Seasons shift demand. Reading what a story really means for prices takes expertise — hire a Field Researcher or learn it yourself.

Stock burns money

A car that doesn't sell costs you parking and insurance every day. Rent runs on your dealership's own schedule. If your balance goes negative you have 3 days to recover — after that, bankruptcy.
