Original Steam description
The AI is coming for the internet. You are the firewall.
Artificial Intrusion is a tower defense game played on a pair of glowing CRT monitors. Rogue AI, drawn as tiny pixels, floods the network along winding paths toward THE_INTERNET at the center of the map. Place defenses, survive every wave, and keep your Uptime above zero.Between runs you spend Packets on a sprawling radial skill tree, then reconnect and push deeper into the net.
Features
- 10 network nodes, each with its own network condition and look: Packet Loss, Firewalled tiles, Viral surges, Overcast range, High Latency, Deep Line paths, Overheat, Reroute and more
- Six defenses: Firewall, CAPTCHA, Honeypot, Corruptor, Ping and the useless robots.txt, each upgradeable during a run
- A 48-node radial skill tree with six keystones and five Build Set slots to save your favorite setups
- Pixels that fight back: Crawlers, Scrapers, Botnets, Token Swarms, LLMs, Hallucinations, Adversarial inputs and the SENTIENT boss
- Player actions: Trace a pixel to mark it for bonus damage, call waves early to Prefetch bonus bandwidth, and unlock Auto-Update
- Endless mode: DEAD INTERNET THEORY takes you past wave 20 with Endless bosses
- A full CRT presentation: curved glass, scanlines, bloom and per-node phosphor colors, with settings to tone it all down
Short runs, deep upgrades
A run takes about 3 to 8 minutes. Lose, recompile, patch the tree and try again.
