About the game

Escape Florida for cheaper rent in a choice-driven, pixel-art survival comedy. Pick a questionable vehicle, manage food, fuel and repairs, and gamble on roadside jobs and strangers. Reaching Georgia is one thing. Arriving with enough money to start over is another.

Original Steam description

Cheaper rent is across the state line. Unfortunately, Florida is in the way.

The Florida Trail is a choice-driven road-trip survival comedy. Start in Key West, choose a questionable ride, and head for Georgia with your health, your vehicle, and your relocation fund hanging in the balance.

Choose your escape vehicle

An aging sedan. A rusted pool truck. A bargain bicycle. Or a four-wheeler towing a boat that allegedly ran last summer. Four starting vehicles bring different budgets, fuel needs, and mechanical problems. Buy or trade for other rides along the way.

Make your money last

Buy groceries, watch your fuel, earn cash through side jobs, and decide whether a real bed is worth the bill. Keep fresh meals cold before they spoil. Search a junkyard, trust a shade-tree mechanic, or pay for professional repairs. Ignoring a fault can turn a cheap problem into an expensive one.

Pick your road—and your questionable decisions

Follow US-1, take the faster but riskier interstate when your vehicle allows it, or gamble on rough backwoods roads. Meet diner strangers, investigate roadside bargains, shelter from storms, and encounter wildlife with absolutely no respect for your plans. Choose from on-screen options; no typed commands required.

Escaping is only half the problem

Get stranded in Florida, reach Georgia broke, or arrive with the money, supplies, health, and working vehicle needed for a fresh start. Different vehicles, encounters, and choices make the next trip a new set of bad ideas.

  • Retro pixel-art scenes and dark, distinctly Florida humor.
  • Food, fuel, cash, health, morale, and vehicle-condition management.
  • Vehicle-specific opportunities, route choices, repairs, and roadside trades.
  • A trip journal and locally saved progress.
  • Adjustable text size for easier reading.
  • Single-player, choice-driven play.

Contains strong language, drug references, fictional criminal situations, and wildlife injury. Events and survival odds are fictional—not travel or wildlife advice.
