About the game
You are the nobility. They are everyone else. Tens of thousands of furious peasants pour down the roads at your granary, your treasury and your gate. Hire the watch, raise a circus, hang a few, and break their leaders before they reach your throne.

THE PEASANTS ARE COMING
You are the nobility and tens of thousands of peasants march on your lands.
So grab and toss 'em!
• Fling them back up the road.
• Upgrades let you grab more at once.
Place towers along the road
• Ballista: fires bolts down the road.
• Trebuchet: throws casks of milk into the crowd.
• Boiling Oil: pours on whoever passes.
• Bombard: rolls iron balls that glance off the rocks.
• Bread and Circuses: the show pulls the crowd off the road and inside.
Or use your lordly powers
• The King’s Hand: grab a fistful and throw them.
• Call the Cavalry: riders charge down the road.
• Bribe: a rain of purses.
• Royal Decree: they stop to listen.
Choose what to defend
• Lose the treasury: half your takings walk off.
• Lose the chapel: your gate loses a quarter of its strength.
• Lose the gate: the battle is over.
Break their leaders
Each mob has ringleaders with their own plan. Kill one and its band loses its way.
• The Preacher goes for your weakest spot.
• The Baker marches for the grain.
Between waves pick one of the Lord's Favors: stronger pieces, a bigger purse, a tougher gate.
