EscapeFromSeoul is a real-time, top-down PvE extraction shooter set in a Seoul built from text and symbols. Explore its streets and wilderness alone or with friends, engage enemies, and gather new gear and supplies for your contracts. The loot you bring home helps develop your character and hideout, preparing you for the next area.

Explore the streets and outskirts of Seoul

From Myeong-dong and Yongsan to Namsan and Guro, head into areas with different terrain and enemies. Cross streets, explore forests and the grounds around facilities, collect supplies, and carry out jobs for traders.

Finishing an objective does not have to end your raid. Search for a few more parts, pick through the gear enemies leave behind, or extract with what you have. The choice is yours.

Combat that does not wait for your turn

The battlefield may be made of characters, but movement, gunfire, and enemy attacks all happen in real time.

Listen for footsteps and watch how enemies move. Keep track of your ammunition, reload during firefights, and find a moment to treat your wounds. When the shooting stops, the danger may still be there.

If an enemy is too much to handle, you can fall back. You do not need to win every fight to make it out alive.

Find the gear for your next raid

A weapon taken from an enemy, an attachment you have been looking for, the last supply needed for a contract. There are plenty of uses for the loot you find in the field.

Fit attachments to your guns and build a loadout around your weapons and ammunition. Keep what you need and sell the rest to traders to fund your next raid. With better equipment, you can return to areas that once forced you to retreat.

Follow contracts into new territory

Complete scouting, collection, and elimination contracts for traders to unlock new areas and content. Develop your character over successive raids, improve your hideout facilities, and craft the items you need.

A new contract might bring you back to familiar ground or send you into a part of Seoul you have yet to explore.

Go alone or bring your friends

Explore Seoul solo or head out with friends. Cover a teammate while they gather supplies and take on enemies you struggled with alone. Play solo or head out together in online co-op for up to 3 players.

Unlock additional modes as you progress.

• Undercover Run — Head out with equipment supplied by the Broker and bring back supplies.

• Endless Zombie Mode / Siege Mode — Survive waves of infected that grow stronger as the rounds advance.

• Colosseum Arena — Challenge the enemies in the arena and earn rewards.
