Wolves of Ash is a single-player turn-based RPG that combines territory conquest with card-fusion combat. Choose your next advance on the map, then turn the cards you draw into a plan of attack. Equip your party with the spoils, unlock new techniques, and lead your mercenary band into harsher battles.

The world called it a miracle. They lost their home.

When Jericho's walls fell, three Canaanite Habiru fled their burning home for the wilderness. With no faith or kingdom to turn to, they found a way to survive: earn bloodstained gold fighting other people's wars. Jaccard, Kyra, and Eilam began calling themselves the Wolves of Ash.

From wilderness ambushes to secret dealings in military camps and a convoy bound for a temple, follow the underside of the war and face the price these mercenaries pay to survive.

Two cards. A new move.

Spread your damage across several attacks, or fuse your cards into a heavier strike. Make the most of the cards you draw each turn. Unlock the required skills, then drag cards onto one another to create new techniques.

• Attack + Attack → Special Attack. Special Attack + Special Attack → Ultimate. Turn basic cards into powerful strikes.
  
• Defend + Defend → Counter. Add stuns, taunts, bleeding, combo attacks, and party healing to balance offense with survival.
  
• Drag a card onto its target to play it. Check unlock requirements and fusion recipes in the mid-battle ARCHIVES.

The final moment of a finisher is in your hands

Ultimate and Judgment attacks use timing challenges (QTEs) that affect their power. Land a successful Ultimate QTE on a charging boss to interrupt its attack. Pair clever card combinations with a precisely timed input to turn a dangerous moment in your favor.

Your tactics begin with the next stronghold

Canaan and Exodus forces expand their territory, while the Ivory Mercenaries hold neutral ground. Plot the Wolves' advance, capture adjacent strongholds, and extend your foothold. Each destination leads to another battle, a chance to gather supplies, or an opportunity to grow stronger.

Shape your party through a shared skill tree and gear

Spend the points you earn from leveling up on a shared party skill tree. Draw more cards, unlock new fusions, and strengthen your preferred techniques to refine the way your party fights.

Equip each mercenary with a weapon, armor, and an accessory. Combine bonus effects on Magic and Rare gear to support your tactics. Trade with Valois, the wandering merchant, or spend collected keys to open equipment chests and prepare for the next fight.

Keep the supplies coming

Two minigames break up the battles. Move orbs to match three or more and trigger cascades in a match-3 puzzle, or combine matching materials into higher tiers in a merge minigame. Build your score before time runs out to earn experience and keys for equipment chests.

1:1 Duel — How strong can you become before the showdown?

A standalone match against a computer-controlled rival. Your party and the rival's begin at opposite ends of a web-shaped map, claiming nodes and growing stronger. The final battle begins after 20 turns, or at the end of the turn in which either side enters the central arena.

Keep gathering rewards to build your strength, or reach the center early to force the showdown. Take on five difficulty levels, from Decurion to Imperator, and track your wins and best results. Levels and gear earned in this mode apply only to the current match.
