I set out to create a rude anti hero that wasn't interested in saving the world

Dave is a loveable anti hero who meets a very eccentric and flamboyant butterfly called Sedrick,

Sedrick is everything Dave is not, Friendly, Approachable, Social, Fun, Caring 

an Evil essence has come to their land, intent on taking over, Sedrick is worried and will do anything to stop it, but he's just a butterfly! he prefers Cheese and wine parties over action. 

He runs into Dave quite literally. Sedrick becomes dazed and wakes up to Dave nudging him with his foot "your in the way!" Dave is not interested in saving the world or being a hero, the honest truth is Dave is out to get his dinner from the local chippy and that's it, Sedrick follows Dave relentlessly, as does the Essence,

Sedrick: Dave! We need to save our world, and I need your help!

Dave: Listen, Sedders. I’m hungry, I’m tired, and I’m really not interested. So buzz off.

Sedrick: Do you not care about our world at all? Do you care about anything? You’re so selfish!

Dave: I care about chips. Now move.

Sedrick: So what are we going to do?!

Dave: Don't know about you, but my plan’s simple. Leg it. Mostly away from you.
