Coming soon

Smart Thomas GamesDiscovered Oct 23, 2026

About the game

A hungry boy sneaks to the kitchen for a midnight snack, but "Mom" is in the house. Listen for footsteps and your heartbeat, hide in closets, and reach your snack. A first-person stealth horror game across ten nights in one house that changes, little by little, each night.

Original Steam description

I'm hungry. There should be something left in the kitchen...

Yashoku: Midnight Snack is a first-person stealth horror game set in an ordinary Japanese home.

You have one goal: eat the midnight snack waiting in the kitchen.

But somewhere down the hall is Mom. If she spots you, run—and hide before she catches you.

How to play

・Make your way through the house to the kitchen

・If Mom finds you, hide in a closet and wait it out

・When your heartbeat speeds up, she's close

・Crouch while you walk to quiet your footsteps

Features

・Ten nights, ten rules — It's the same house, but every night Mom behaves differently and the house is not quite the same. Some nights you hold your breath; others you search for a key, or slip past eyes watching from outside the window.

・Horror you hear — No music while you play. Only footsteps, creaking floorboards, the hum of the fridge, and your own heartbeat.

・A house that feels real — Tatami rooms, sliding fusuma doors, a bathroom, a child's bedroom. An everyday home rendered with real-time ray tracing.

・The night repeats — Why is the boy hungry every single night? The last night holds the answer.

Estimated play time: about 30–60 minutes (first playthrough)
