Originalbeschreibung auf Steam
The fire has burned low, and the mountain is still ahead.
Wanderers from different worlds gather at a campfire on the mountain road, kept by Jūbei, an old one-eyed dog who has watched every traveler arrive. Each pilgrim tells their tale. At dawn, they climb. Most don't come back. The fire burns again. She remembers. The Legend of Jūbee: Stoogis's Revenge is a single-player, turn-based deckbuilding roguelike. Start with a small, honest deck, draft new cards, gather Tokens, and shape a build that can carry you over the summit before the summit carries you under.
A road built one card at a time.
Every run begins at the trailhead with a small, honest deck and a long way up. Enemies telegraph their intent, and every fight is yours to read. Draft cards, gather Tokens, and choose your road. Every run has a seed you can enter or share. With the same pilgrim, Specialty, Watch and choices, it plays out the same way, so the only thing between you and the top is the next decision.Six who walk the road.
Each carries their own deck, their own burden, and their own reason for the climb. Choose who you become.- The Ironsworn, German Shepherd. A weathered sellsword on a private oath. Builds slowly with iron will, then closes the fight through accumulated grit. The cord at her wrist is older than her name.
- The Longstalk, Working Cat. Walked away from a job that asked too much, and has been moving ever since. Quiet in a fight: no oaths, no speeches. The kind of eyes that saw the trick before it began.
- The Breath, Crane · Breath Master. A disciplined wanderer of the old forms. Sequences her strikes by ancient counts, finishing fights with a single crystallised technique practiced ten thousand times.
- The Transmuter, Fox · Alchemist. From a world bound by equivalent exchange. Trades cards, health and gold for power in the moment, and sometimes pays in things that do not grow back.
- The Oathbearer, Goat · Pact-Sorcerer. Carries a folded paper in his inner pocket. The handwriting is his. The signature is his. He does not remember the day he signed it.
- The Sovereign, Raven · Death-Binder. The dead remember her, and so do the living, when they survive long enough to think back on what tried to take them.
From the bamboo road to the summit.
Three acts of a mountain that grows stranger the higher you go.- Act I, The Bamboo Road. A bamboo forest, and the first fights of the climb.
- Act II, The Cloudline. Rope bridges strung through the clouds, and snow on the high slopes.
- Act III, The Summit. The last climb, in the shadow of the peak.

- Read every fight. Enemies telegraph their intent, and bosses have mechanics to learn, counter and turn against them.
- Deep and varied. Hundreds of cards and Tokens, 70 Provisions and more than a hundred events, with ten Watches of rising difficulty.
- Six distinct pilgrims. Each with their own deck, mechanics and burden.

Beat the game with a pilgrim to unlock Endless mode for them. The mountain turns over: wave after wave, each stronger than the last, with twin bosses from the second lap, Omens that bend the rules, and a starting loadout of your own from everything you've unlocked.
Accessibility
- Text Size: Normal, Large or Larger, applied to menus, the HUD and event pages.
- Colour options: filters for protanopia, deuteranopia and tritanopia, plus a High Contrast filter. Card types, enemy intents and buffs never rely on colour alone, and Token rarity is written as a word in the Token tooltip.
- Motion and comfort: Reduced Motion (on Windows and macOS it also follows your computer's reduce-motion setting the first time you launch), screen shake None / Some / Lots, a Photosensitive Mode with no white flashes and no noise-dissolve effects, and a Phobia Mode for players who want fewer intense animations (it skips transitions and the cinematic final-blow Executions; it does not change the artwork).
- Sound: separate Master, Effects, Music and Ambience volume sliders with mute, a Mono Audio switch, and an announcer you can turn off (every line also shows as text).
- Pacing: turn-based, with no timed input during play apart from a short "tap again" confirm on some boss action buttons, a pause menu at any time, and an autosave after every room and in the middle of combat.
- Difficulty: ten Watches make a climb harder. The Gentle Road is an optional easier mode (more health, a free Provision) you can switch on for your profile.
- Reading: four Story Text Speeds including Instant, optional hints, a suggested map route, and tooltips for every keyword.
- Read Aloud: an optional setting, off by default, that reads card details and tooltips aloud using your system's voice (a Read button on card details; tooltips read themselves with a mouse).
- Controls: playable with the mouse alone. Keys can be rebound, cards can be picked with the number keys and played with Enter, and Space ends your turn. Controller support is not available yet.
Wishlist now to be there the day the fire is lit. It helps a very small studio more than you know. A game by Mariner Digital Agency.
