Upstart Tycoon
Coming soon
About the game
An incremental tycoon about getting rich in a crooked city. Play as a thief, a dirty cop, a 9–5 worker or a suburban teen, and climb from nobody to the person Port Vesper can't function without. Every run, the city you left behind has changed.
Original Steam description
Port Vesper runs on rent, favors and whoever is willing to look the other way. You start with one button, a few free hours a day and nothing anybody wants. Press it. Automate it. Hire someone to press it for you. Buy the block, then the district, then the people who run it.

From a friend's couch to the Estate, and from the 42 bus to a helicopter. Where you sleep and how you get around change as you climb, and the city notices.
From Nobody to Kingmaker: every rank lights up more of Port Vesper, and more of it is yours.

Port Vesper is a living voxel island: traffic on the boulevard, a train on the viaduct, searchlights over the towers. Its lights come on district by district as you take them, and your buildings rise over the skyline.

The lights go out across the island and everyone you ever dealt with calls at once. Answer every caller and the city is yours. Your enemies call first.

Take the city and someone new comes to Port Vesper. The city you leave behind has changed for good: a crater where Eastside was, the sea in the streets, a wall across the island, a blackout, a church. Markers from your last life buy head starts, and the people you knew remember you.

- The Thief. Fourteen free hours a day and nothing to lose. Plan the job, fence the loot, keep your Heat down and your crew paid.
- The 9–5 Worker. Overtime, night classes and a side hustle, until the day you hand Doug your lanyard. He says you'll be back.
- The Suburban Teenager. No money, no credibility, plenty of friends. Attention is your currency; learn to spend it.
- The Nerd. Freelance, automate, ship it. People are harder than code.

- An incremental tycoon with a story. Every business you open, every district you move into and every person you meet moves your life on: 77 paths, one for every background in every district.
- Every step up asks a question. Whose money do you take? Pick one. It's yours for good, and the city will remember which.
- Factions with long memories. The streets, the unions, the banks, the press and City Hall all want something. Keep them sweet, or pay for it later.
