About the game

Description d’origine sur Steam
Real model footage × generative AI!

Fly a paper dragon. Strike Moai. Set off a chain reaction!

Steer the dragon into matching-colour Moai and watch one hit burst through the crowd. Dodge obstacles, use the dragon’s tail to line up your next strike, and clear each papercraft stage. Move your hand in front of a webcam to fly—or play with a mouse.

Three frames of real gameplay: the player moves a hand in the webcam view as a paper dragon flies toward a red Moai, strikes it and sends fragments flying.

The present, Edo-era Japan, prehistory—and somewhere mysterious!

Your journey continues across multiple stages, with changing eras, scenery and challenges. Break through each stage and see where the paper dragon’s journey leads. Can you reach the Goddess at the end… or will it all explode?!

Base price: US$4.99 / ¥500 in Japan. A 25% launch discount is planned for 10 days (Japan: ¥375). Regional prices vary.

In real Battle SHIRYU gameplay, developer Takahiro Yonemura holds up a hand to the webcam while a green papercraft dragon flies past a field of yellow Moai in a paper village.

Line up the next strike

Hard Moai and obstacles make each stage trickier. Guide the dragon around them and use its tail to reach the next target.

Hand control needs a compatible webcam and camera access permission in Windows or macOS. No markers, green screen, or elaborate backdrop are required; lighting and framing can affect recognition. You can always play with a mouse instead. Pictograms guide play without in-game text to read.

Takahiro Yonemura's 2002 research on a contactless camera interface inspired this game, realized in 2026.
