About the game

Escala con un hacha de bombero. Siéntate en una regadera. Intenta aparentar que todo formaba parte de tu plan.

Descripción original de Steam

I gave a garden gnome a fire axe.

Put him in a watering can.

And built him a way up.

Gnomebody Told You to Climb is a physics-based climbing game inspired by two amazing games: "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy"(2017), created by Bennett Foddy, and "Sexy Hiking"(2002), created by Jazzuo. You play as a garden gnome stuck in a watering can, using a fire axe to pull, push, and swing yourself upward. With practice, you'll learn how to turn an awkward reach into a clean landing. You'll also learn which surfaces you can trust, when to stop moving, and how much progress can disappear during one very confident decision.

I'll be there too. I'm Leo, the developer. While you climb, I'll share stories, questionable advice, and occasional thoughts that seemed much more profound when I wrote them at three in the morning, with too much caffeine in my blood and my heart in this game.

I can't catch you. I can, however, make the fall slightly more awkward by talking through it.

• Climb with a fire axe and a watering can. The gardening has gotten out of hand.

• Learn to use angles, leverage, and momentum to reach the next ledge.

• Listen to me reflect on your predicament while being largely responsible for it.

• Watch a familiar section become easier with practice.

• Become reacquainted with that section after an unfortunate landing.

• Reach places you were absolutely certain you couldn't.

I'd love to see you reach the top.

Admittedly, I have made that a fairly inconvenient thing to do.
