Original Steam description
Commander, I entrust you with this mission to save the rebellion. Carry this holodrive to Starcore, and keep the flame of hope alive in the galaxy!
Hi! I’m KnightThaal, a solo developer building Starcore: Through the Void. This is a passion project born out of a deep love for arcade classics, built to bring fast-paced, old-school challenge with a fresh indie edge.
In Starcore, you pilot a lone gunship on a desperate run through perilous Imperial gauntlets to deliver the holodrive. You won't be flying totally alone, though: as you play, the story unfolds through in-game dialogue, introducing allies like Artemis Newton, an old friend supporting you every step of the way.
🔥 What Awaits You in the Void
⚡ Bite-Sized, Brutal Stages: Charge through a campaign of nearly 20 fast-paced stages and checkpoints. They’re designed to test your reflexes—don't expect to survive them all on your first try.
⚔️ Bosses Built to Master: Drawing inspiration from games like Dark Souls and Zelda, every boss is an entirely unique roadblock. Learn their multi-phase attacks, decode their randomised patterns, and outmanoeuvre massive on-screen health bars.
⏱️ Chasing Perfection: Race against the clock with built-in best-time tracking to optimise your runs, with an endless mode planned down the line to keep you coming back.
❤️ A True Solo Passion Project: Every mechanic, level, and system is designed and hand-crafted from the ground up as an independent labour of love.
Do you have what it takes, Commander?
