About the game
Big Rich is a 3D cartoon-style turn-based economic strategy game. Run around and work jobs to earn gold, win licenses in secret auctions, then play cards to take a cut from your rivals. When the match ends, the richest player wins. Play online with friends, or solo against AI.
Original Steam description
You and a few rivals are grabbing money on the same map.
They may be human or AI, and when the match ends, the richest player wins.
How a Match Plays Out
Every round starts with a random event, such as a harsh winter or an economic boom. Then the timed action phase begins: run around, work jobs, shop, play cards, and trade with other players. How you spend the time is up to you.
Running and Surviving
Working costs stamina, mood affects your efficiency, and gold decides your ranking. Run out of stamina and you're eliminated, but you can pay to come back.
Before the match, you can set how it ends: a fixed number of rounds, or a gold target. Either way, the gold ranking decides the winner.
Ways to Make Money
· Work jobs at various buildings, or process raw materials into more valuable goods.
· Buy and sell goods and open card packs at the NPC shop, or trade face-to-face with other players.
· Auction bids stay secret until the hammer falls. Win a toll license, and you earn a cut whenever someone spends at that building.
· Bank your gold for interest or take out a loan. The lottery draws every round, and the jackpot rolls over if nobody wins.
Jobs and Cards
At the start, you pick one of several jobs, known only to you, and it levels up as the match goes on. Cards can be played on yourself or on others: steal, plunder, and extort are all in the deck.
Multiplayer and Single Player
· Online: multiplayer rooms with host-set rules. Share a room code to invite friends.
· Solo: take on AI rivals anytime.
· Auto-save at the start of each round, plus manual saves.
