About the game
An asymmetric co-op deduction game where you solve cold cases through communication. One player investigates, while the other plays the forensic artist reconstructing the victim's face. Features lite roguelite progression.
Original Steam description
Nobody knows who they were. You are going to give them a face.
Somebody died and nobody knows who they were. You have a cold case file, a head made of clay, and a partner who can only see half of what you can.

JANE DOE is a first person horror game about putting a face to the unidentified. It is the 1980s and you are a forensic artist working cold cases. In coop, one of you is the Investigator, walking the dark rooms of an old precinct and collecting evidence. The other is the Forensic Artist, sitting at a desk and sculpting the victim's face with no files, only your partner's descriptions. The Investigator never sees the head. The Artist never sees the evidence. You talk, you argue, you redo the nose for the fourth time, then you submit and find out how close you got.
Playing alone? One person does both jobs, moving between the desk and the hallways.
WHAT YOU DO
Search crime scenes and locked rooms for skeletal reports, dental records, witness statements and photo fragments. Each kind of evidence unlocks its own group of sliders, so the clues you find decide what the Artist can shape: jaw, nose, eyes, brow, cheeks, ears and signs of age, plus hair.
Solve a case well and you choose one of three rewards: a new tool for the hallways, or a permanent bonus like a bigger pocket or a head start on the next file. A bad match earns nothing.
PLAY IT YOUR WAY
Solo, you do it all. In co-op, one sculpts the face while the other searches the dark. Split screen, two monitors, or online through Steam.

LET CHAT IN
Streaming it? Twitch viewers can trigger effects that scramble the sculpt, cut the lights, make the Investigator drop the evidence, or on a good day fix the face for you. You set the cost, cooldown and hotkey for every effect, can turn any of them off, and can pause everything with one key. Tools that can call a local web address, like TikFinity or Crowd Control, can trigger the same effects from TikTok Live.
Or let chat be the artist: play the Investigator yourself, describe what you find out loud, and chat votes on the sliders to build the face.
