Karon: Overclock

The oldest lie usually has the most convincing face.

The last of the Polux, who have lived bearing the stigma of sin for 200 years in the darkest underground, where no light reaches. And Castor’s machines, never ceasing to turn over on their land.

Charon, the last descendant of Pollux. All he has left are the unextinguished core of a fire and the blueprints of an old factory etched in his mind. Defeat the mechanical soldiers to gather materials, bring the blueprints to life, and recover the stolen cores and buried truth.

The thrill of the moment you slice through and the sense of accomplishment as you build. The moment the two gears mesh, Pollux’s time, which had been at a standstill, begins to turn again.

STORY

Long ago, there were two peoples on this land. Polux, who dealt with magical engineering, and Castor, who dealt with mechanical engineering. By willingly giving of what they lacked to one another, they built the most brilliant civilization on this land for centuries. However, since the day Castor's machine dug deeper into the ground, there had been only one record left. The Poluxes have risen in rebellion, the core has been seized, and the Poluxes have become criminals. Two hundred years later, Charon, having undergone a rite of passage underground, feels through the core of fire in his palm. The pulse of the rest of the core beating in the same rhythm somewhere in the world. And the machines sucking something up from deep underground. Karon, who had never looked up before, steps toward the sky for the first time.

COMBAT

battles against Castor's machine army that has taken over the land. Upgrade your skills with factory-made gear and arm yourself with custom weapons and armor to challenge bosses that control each region.

FACTORY 

Polux’s brilliant factory remains a blueprint in Caron’s memory. Use materials obtained from the mechanical soldiers to build a factory and craft gears, equipment, and potions. Each factory built atop the ruins becomes a power of Charon.

THE CORES / Four Cores

Fire, earth, water, electricity. All that remains in Karon's hand is a single core of fire. Each time you defeat a boss and recover the remaining cores, a layer of dormant power awakens. Weapons and armor are upgraded to new levels, new factories can be built, and previously sealed skills are unlocked. And the road to the next region opens.

THE LOOP

Gather materials through cyclical battles, run factories with them, and face stronger enemies using the power generated by the factories. The brief pleasure of the blade’s edge and the long satisfaction built up by the action connect in a single loop.

For 200 years, the world has revolved around lies. Now, I'm going to find that lie.
