Sword for Hire

Coming soon

Bosko ProductionsDiscovered Nov 2, 2026

About the game

Hire your blade out to a dying city. Cut through the horrors in its streets, grab every valuable you can carry, and trust your eyes while you still can, the longer you stay, the less of what you see is real. When the bell rings, run.

Original Steam description

In Victorian times, people suddenly started falling ill. What looked like a minor plague became a nightmare when the first of the sick began mutating into ruthless, relentless beasts.

You and your friends are mercenaries (up to 4 total players!), hired to find the ingredients that cure the sick before they turn into something far worse. Just remember: fighting is optional. Surviving isn’t.

Keep your voice down
Proximity voice chat means your friends only hear you when they’re close, and so do the monsters. Whisper to stay hidden. Scream for help and hope your friends reach you first.

Features

  • A co-op horror experience for you and your friends, or alone if you dare

  • Proximity voice chat: the monsters can hear you too

  • 6 unique mercenaries, each with their own strengths and weaknesses

  • Lots of unique monsters, each with their own behaviour

  • Every run is different, thanks to map events and unique tiles

  • A mind that slowly breaks: the longer you stay, the less you can trust what you see and hear

Play one of 6 unique mercenaries, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Crawl through procedurally generated cities in search of valuable loot to upgrade your hub, and the ingredients for the medicine you need to protect it.

Try not to get killed. Or worse: get lost, wandering the city until you collapse and the monsters feast on you.
