After Troy

After Troy is a deckbuilding RPG and a true roguelike, set in Greek myth just after the fall of Troy.

Pick a legendary hero from ancient Greek legends and explore a procedurally generated map. Your goal is to find and conquer the Acropolis. Do this through any means necessary, will you fight satyrs, beasts and monsters and do good or will you burn temples and rob homesteads? Play however you like, as long as you reach your goal.

Play your cards smart

Playing cards lets you explore, recruit, fight and progress through the game. A card can be played with a weak side or powered by paying with favours from Olympus. Play your cards inefficiently and you will not reach your goal. Be ready for a challenge.

A true roguelike

Each game generates a new map from a set of handmade preset tiles. Camps, ruins, monster lairs and cities turn up in new places every time, and you uncover them one hex at a time.

Nothing carries over between games. There are no unlocks that make you stronger and no +5% damage to grind for. Every hero starts every game with their starter deck. Only the challenge grows: win with a hero to unlock the next of twelve Labours, each one making the game harder. Compare your skill with friends on the leaderboards or play the weekly challenge and see how good you are vs the world.

Grow stronger

Throughout the game you will have many opportunities to grow your deck with better cards. Every enemy you defeat gives EXP, and every level brings new skills. Hire Companions who fight beside you, and find Relics in ruins and chests. Or burn a temple for its Relic, but beware, Zeus' law is a thing in this world.

Four heroes, four gods

• Odysseus, Athena's favourite. A leader first. Just like the legend, he wins through his Companions and the people who follow him.
  
• Medea, sworn to Hades. Burned a palace and never looked back. Getting hurt does not slow her down.
  
• Atalanta, raised by a bear, blessed by Demeter. At home in the wild and close to the gods. Nobody runs faster than her.
  
• Aeneas, Poseidon's own. Carried his father out of the fire. His tremendous defence becomes his attack.

The gods are watching

Four gods each fill a meter as you play. When the meter is full you can receive their blessing.

Play together

Invite up to three friends and take on the Acropolis as a team. Or pass the mouse around one PC in hot-seat. You can also play with bots.

Leaderboards and a weekly challenge

Every game mode has its own Steam leaderboard, with a separate marker for Ironman runs. There is also a weekly handpicked seed to compare yourself against the world.

Early Access

• Puzzle mode. Hand-made scenarios. You are dropped in and have to find the one way through.
  
• Mod support. Make your own cards, heroes, enemies and maps.
