Welcome to the Yerba Mate Museum

There are 5,000 packages scattered everywhere, empty shelves waiting for you and a long rainy night ahead. At the far end of the hall, a giant curtain hides something nobody bothered to explain.

MATE, This Place is a MESS! is an organizing game you play at your own pace. Find every package its place, make a real mess along the way, and slowly discover what this museum is keeping.

5,000 packages. Each one has its place.

Pick up the yerba packages from the floor, carry several at once and switch between them while you look for the right shelf. There are more than 160 flavors across over 40 categories. They go from mint and dulce de leche to matcha and Dubai chocolate, all the way to flavors nobody should have bottled, like motor oil, toothpaste, cheddar or barbecue.

What starts as a mountain of yerba turns, shelf by shelf, into a colorful collection. And when you place the last package on a shelf, the whole shelf celebrates with a wave.

Brew your mate

No job gets done without a good mate. Add the yerba, pour the water and have one while you sort. Beat challenges to unlock new mate designs, from a basketball to a golden skull.

Sort smarter

Every package you place earns you money. Spend it on the museum's old computer to buy abilities. Carry more packages, pick them up faster, sprint, highlight matching flavors or just make them float straight to your hand. The more you fill the museum, the faster the remaining piles disappear.

Give it a good kick

Sometimes a package just needs a push. Toss them around or charge a kick, aim and add some curve. Shoot them through the basketball hoop or land a Yerba Flip Challenge. There's always time to chill for a while as you put everything in order.

Take a break

The computer runs Tibetano, a totally legit online casino with blackjack and slots. There's a roulette in the hall to bet your earnings. And hidden around the museum are vinyl records. Put them on the record player for music and a bonus while you work.

The curtain

Rain taps on the glass roof. The lights flicker. The phone rings, and the voice on the other end tells you not to rush, to take it slow while you sort everything out.

At the end of the hall there's a giant curtain. To open it you'll need tokens, and tokens are earned by sorting.

Behind it lies the truth about the museum. Maybe it's better not to know...
