Short description

Lumen who discovers that his own words are betraying him. As his writing grows increasingly unfamiliar, his mental state begins to unravel. That is, until he realizes his editor has been slowly twisting his work into an uncanny counterfeit, all under the guise of optimization...

About this game

A letter you cannot refuse. A work of writing that is turning on its author. Reading is not watching. It is complicity. Every page you turn is quietly changing you, and your relation to the world.

A psychological horror visual novel about language, narrative, and mental contamination. You will be the reader of this uncanny affair. Be careful. The moment you begin to read, something begins to read you.

Features

  • Immersive epistolary storytelling. A crisis coming slowly undone, pieced together from fragments of letters. You can only feel it through someone else's eyes.

  • Original "Worldspeak" decryption. Some words are not what they seem. Certain passages hide secrets only particular people can read. Click the words that feel like they mean something else, and look for the truth between the lines.

  • Psychological horror. No gore. Only an unease that keeps closing in. The fear comes from helplessness before the unknown, from the dread of being changed, from a slow seepage. Here, the most frightening enemy is the language you know best.

From the developer

A dark fable for anyone who creates, and a quiet warning for anyone who reads. The vital information is hidden in aliases, metaphors, and Worldspeak—a cipher only the four protagonists can read.

Every passage you read may be changing your understanding of everything that came before it. Including everything you just read.
