About This Game

Beneath the Dying Sun is a nautical delivery and exploration game set across the Nadir Sea, a vast ocean beneath a dying artificial sun.

You are a Courier, travelling between isolated settlements and taking whatever work keeps you moving. Load cargo onto your boat, choose your jobs, make your way across dangerous waters, and return with enough to keep going.

Deliveries are your bread and butter, though they are far from the only way to make a living.

Make a Living

Take on work, carry valuable cargo, and look for opportunities between settlements. What you choose to do with your time and money is largely up to you, whether you prefer steady work or something riskier.

Follow Your Own Ambition

As your fortune grows, so do your options. Pursue larger goals, uncover more of the Nadir Sea, and decide what kind of life you are trying to build beneath a sun that may not have much time left.

Cozy Work, Uncomfortable Waters

Beneath the Dying Sun is built around the contrast between ordinary work and an increasingly strange world. There is no focus on naval combat. Most dangers are better avoided, escaped, or simply left alone.
