About the game

Build a deck of ancestral power and defend the Amazon. Arandu: Deck of the Amazon is a roguelike deckbuilder where Indigenous heroes confront forest invaders to reclaim their people's sacred relics. Brew poisons, summon animal spirits, and take back what belongs to your people.

Original Steam description

Arandu: Deck of the Amazon is a turn-based roguelike deckbuilder where ancestral knowledge is your only weapon. Cross the Amazon, face those who came to destroy it, and take back what is yours. Every card, relic and enemy is rooted in the rich mythology, and the painful environmental reality, of the Amazon.

Six heroes, six ways through the same forest

The journey through the forest demands heroes ready for the challenge. The game offers six, each with its own mechanical identity, exclusive passives and a starting deck of its own. Whether you favor speed and rapid strikes, control the field with Poison and crippling effects, or bet on impenetrable defenses, Dodge and brutal chains of counterattacks, every character reshapes how you build and play your tactics, opening up dozens of synergies with each new run.

Build your deck

Over 120 cards across four types, Attack, Skill, Defense and Curse, and nine statuses: Poison, Bleed, Block, Dodge, Stun, Weak, Strength, Thorns and Regen. Upgrade your cards as your journey unfolds.

Take back the sacred relics

Your people's relics are in the hands of the invaders. 40 relics, each with a unique power, await you along the way. Collect them and carry up to three sacred relics drawn from Amazonian culture.

Call on the forest spirits

You are not fighting alone. Certain cards let you summon powerful animal spirits that step straight onto the battlefield to fight at your side. Each summon is a tactical resource of its own, and it rewards perfect timing, the kind that turns a fight around at its most critical moment.
