About the game
The cloaked spirits on your road aren't attacking. They're fleeing. Hold the road for 120 levels of tower defense: lumberjacks and miners earn the Smoke that builds towers, masons lay free tower foundations, barricaders trap the road. 21 fully voiced story videos ask what they're fleeing.
Original Steam description

Wispward is a tower defense game. Cloaked spirits are running down the road toward the Well, and the village wants you to stop them. The further you go, the less sure you are who the real enemy is.
- 120-level campaign with a boss every 10 levels
- 4 towers, 3 traps and 4 workers who chop, mine and build for you
- 24 spirit types, each with its own color, speed and weakness
- 21 story videos, fully voiced in 40 languages
- Normal, Hard and Very Hard, plus permanent prestige upgrades

Arrow, Fire, Ice and Bomb, five levels each. Armored spirits resist arrows and runners resist fire and bombs, so no single tower wins the day. The fun is reading the wave and putting the right tower on the right bend.

Lumberjacks and Miners earn what your towers cost, Masons raise new tower platforms, and Barricaders lay traps on the road. When a wave gets too close, a barricade slows it down while spikes and fire wear it thin.

Hard is open from day one; beat it and Very Hard is waiting. Prestige to start over stronger and turn your stars into upgrades that stay. Below: the four bosses and every spirit you'll meet on the road.
