IT'S NOT A DEER is a first-person horror game about hunting in a forest where mimics hide among ordinary animals. Harvest meat and hides, sell your haul, and buy gear for your next outing. But first, know what you're aiming at.
Take a closer look at the animal, observe its behavior, and use your thermal imager. Learn to spot the signs that give mimics away before testing your suspicions with a gunshot. It won't kill them.
Some of the creatures living in the forest don't welcome visitors. Always alert, they never stop tracking their prey - not animals, not mimics, but you. Watch your surroundings and remember the way back to the cabin - you're only safe inside.
Sell the meat and hides you've collected, restock your supplies, and upgrade your gear. The money you earn will help you prepare for your next outing and unlock new areas on the map.
While you're tracking your prey, you might miss what's creeping up on you.
