About the game
Pull the loose threads. Find the tight-knit core.
Knitwork is a cozy casual puzzle game that invites you to explore how well connected each button in a network is. Orphaned buttons with only one connection easily fall off the network, whereas those within tightly knit circles are happily protected. Or are they? Being connected to many orphaned buttons means you won’t last long.
You will peel away the unstable buttons to uncover the heart of each network, be it big or small, where every node has the maximum number of connections.
No Timers, No Pressure
Nobody likes getting stuck, so hints are readily available if you need them (although using them will lower your score). And of course, we all make mistakes. You can restart a level at any time if you want to score a perfect solve, or move on to the next puzzle.
Endless Fun
In addition to over 150 playtested levels, the game includes an endless mode, so you will never run out of puzzles! Select your desired puzzle size and difficulty to generate your own level, from a quick knit check to a gordian knot.
Learn as You Play
Knitwork is based on a real mathematical theory of social networks called k-cores, which has been used to study how people are connected. It is also being applied to understand the way that neurons communicate in the brain, to inform the design of more resilient communications networks, and to find fraud in transactions. Not every brain teaser has so many real world applications!
