Cheat Death Together

Three players take their seats at the table, and Death deals the cards face down. Two players receive the role of Survivor. The third becomes the Betrayer.

The rules are simple, but the stakes couldn't be higher.

The Survivors have one goal: make it to the end of the run. As long as at least one of them survives, they win. The Betrayer, however, has a very different objective. To claim victory, they must ensure that nobody makes it out alive.

There's just one problem: nobody knows who drew which role.

Your first challenge isn't surviving Death's games. It's figuring out who you can trust.

Each run takes place on a field of hexagonal tiles, with a different challenge waiting beneath each one. Russian roulette, card games, dice rolls, and other deadly tests stand between you and the end of the journey.

Before each challenge begins, all three players secretly place bets on its outcome. Nobody knows what the others are betting on, and those hidden decisions can reveal just as much as the games themselves.

Each player also holds two Fate Cards, powerful tools that can influence how events unfold. Used at the right moment, they might turn a dangerous situation in your favor. Used carelessly, or deliberately against you, they could make things considerably worse.

The Betrayer doesn't need to announce their intentions. In fact, their greatest advantage is that nobody knows they're working against the group.

They can place bets designed to hurt the Survivors, waste valuable Fate Cards when they're needed most, or subtly steer the others toward hexes where survival becomes increasingly unlikely.

You'll have to watch how the others play, question their decisions, and look for patterns in their behavior. A single suspicious move might mean nothing. A series of them might tell you everything.

Death already knows who the Betrayer is. You don't.
